Following the sun, just to see where it sets over and over and over again never letting it rise on my face ever again
Never night, but never morning, only the time between the end of the day that I never want to end to prolong this emotion
That I can’t seem to grasp, but will never shake and will never let get away from this place that I set myself before the sunset what if I can’t run fast enough to catch up to see any kind of new beginning what if I don’t want to what if I never could anyway, the only thing to toil away and fade constantly in the pale orange and blue of my eyes can barely see
and I feel myself just letting myself be fooled

Only failure is what I feel as I stagger along empty and lungs broken with the breath taken and stomped on the ground
No light minus the speckled sky and haunting sliver of the moon that doesn’t allow me to catch my footing and move forward,
I weep on the ground out of fear and unknown, only overwhelmed only an end I wanted to avoid

An unpleasant feeling of an unknown that I worked so very hard to avoid
But now that I see its beauty the overwhelming calm of a fresh breeze that is not as fleeting as I expected it to be
